I am looking for 2-4 WordPress developers to start a Mastermind group focusing on WordPress development.
What is a Mastermind?
A Mastermind is a group of people who have a common set of goals/issues that they are working to accomplish or solve. Masterminds are commonly formed to help entrepreneurs develop and solve issues within their businesses. They are especially useful for people who work independently or as part of a small team (often remotely) and don’t get the typical office experience and regularly have opportunities to talk with other like-minded individuals.
One of the hardest parts of working on your own is holding yourself accountable as there is no one to answer to. Another common problem is not having others you are working hand in hand with to help provide ideas or solutions to the issues you are currently facing. Therefore, the purpose of the group is to help provide support and ideas as well as to hold each other accountable for the goals we set as we work on our projects.
What is the intended focus of this group?
I am an entrepreneur that is currently running a WordPress based SaaS platform. I am trying to form this group to provide the following to myself and the others that become a part of it:
- Development Issues – Discuss our current WordPress development projects. Where are we now, where do we want to get to, and what is preventing us from doing so.
- Development Goals – Set and review Goals regularly. If one of us is pushing off something we planned to have done, ask why. If they are having trouble completing a specific goal, ask what. If they have completed a goal, ask how. If they set a new goal, ask when.
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, this group will be to focus on WordPress development. You do not need to be a business owner or an advanced WordPress developer. WordPress development doesn’t even need to be your full-time job.
You just need to be actively working on WordPress development projects, such as a plugin or theme and be willing to participate in the group discussion by sharing, listening, and asking questions.
I am looking for the group to meet either weekly or bi-weekly for around an hour. Once the members of the group are known we can work to try to figure out the full details on the schedule.
Are you interested?
If you are not interested, but know others who might be, please share it with them.
